How long does it take to receive my items after I've placed my order?
To avoid unnecessary waste, we only carry a limited amount of stock - most items are printed once the order is received.
Due to this, please allow approximately 7-14 days for your order to be prepared, printed and packed.
Postage will then be an additional 2-4 working days for the UK, 2-11 working days for Europe, and 3-17 working days for USA and the rest of the world.
However, we appreciate how quickly you may want your wild swimming kit, particularly if it's a gift - please use the contact form to let us know if you would like us to try to speed your order up a bit (don't forget to quote your order reference number which starts with W&WW)

Do you deliver outside the UK?
Absolutely - Yes we do! We know wild swimming and sea dipping is a worldwide thing, and we would love to share Waves & Water Water with everyone!
Delivery to Europe is £12.95 and takes approximately 2-11 working days.
Delivery to USA and the rest of the world is £28.95 and takes approximately 3-17 working days.

How do I return something?
All our Waves & Wild Water wild swimming gifts and products have been lovingly hand printed or hand made. Due to this, no two items are the same and there may be some print or production inconsistences - these are not seen as faults but more as features which prove your garment is hand produced by a human.
However, if you're really not absolutely thrilled with your new wild swimming goodies then you can return them within 30 days for a refund or exchange.
Use the contact form, or email us at hello@wavesandwildwater.co.uk with the details of your order (including your order number starting with W&WW), and the reason for the return.
The item(s) must be returned in the condition you received it in to be accepted as a return - which includes being unworn, unused, unmarked, and complete with tags.
Return postage is to be paid by you (the customer), unless we have made an error or the product is confirmed as being faulty, in which case the postage will be refunded.
Please allow up to 14 days from us receiving your return for your refund to be processed. Also, please note, we recommend using a signed for service as we are not accountable for any items lost in transit.

How do I contact the owner or customer services?
We are always happy to chat to our fellow wild swimmers and sea dippers - good or not so good!

Do you supply wholesale, and if so, what's the best way to go about setting it up?
Currently, we only supply individual wild swimmers and sea dippers through our website.
However, we are considering wholesale. Please use the contact form to register your interest and we will be in touch as and when we set up the details.
Will you be at any events? Can I buy from you in person?
We would LOVE to attend some wild swimming events, and it's definitely something we're looking into for the future. But, for now, our Waves & Wild Water products are only available via our website.
However, if you know of any events that you think would suit us, please do not hesitate to drop us a message via the contact form.

About Our Products
Where are your t-shirts made?
Our wild swimming t-shirts are proudly manufactured in Bangladesh by organic clothing producer Stanley/Stella.
Bangladesh is known for having the most skilled workforces within the fashion industry, and Stanley/Stella take pride in the positive impact they are having on the people within their supplychain. By driving positive change, Stanley/Stella are helping to transform the industry and the perception of garments created in overseas factories.

How do you print your designs on your t-shirts and hoodies etc?
Our original Waves & Wild Water designs are applied to our t-shirts and hoodies using traditional hand screen printing techniques and good old fashioned elbow grease!
Once we are happy with our design, it is transferred onto a reusable metal framed screen using light sensitive emulsion. We use a manual, six arm carousal print table, which we attach our screens to - ready to print our wild swimming hoodies and tees.
The garment to be printed is placed over a platen, the screen is positioned on the top of the garment, and ink is pushed through the screen design by hand using a bladed tool called a squeegee.
We use flash units to dry the ink and heat presses to cure the finished design before labelling and packing, ready for despatch.
To remain as environmentally friendly as possible, and to eliminate waste, we print to order and carry little stock.
What makes your t-shirts organic and sustainable?
All our wild swimming t-shirts come from Belgium-based, organic apparel supplier Stanley/Stella. Founded in 2012, by Jean Chabert, who was determined to reinvent the fashion industry for a better world - they have only ever used 100% organic cotton in their production.
Organic is classified by the use of seeds which have not been genetically modified (non-GMO) and cultivated without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. By not using chemicals, it ensures that nothing harmful is allowed to flow into the soil or adjoining rivers, lakes, or seas. The water used is then suitable for reuse and not classed as ‘lost water’. This sustainable process creates a positive effect on water, soil and biodiversity, and provides respect, security and well-being for the cotton farmers and their communities.

Can you give me some information about your printing inks? How are they vegan and chemical free?
At Waves & Wild Water, we only use eco-friendly printing inks in the production of our wild swimming and sea dipping t-shirts and hoodies. As lovers of the water, we couldn't (and wouldn't!) use anything else!
Our printing inks come from Australian company Permaset (part of Colormaker Industries). Colormaker are committed to eliminating harmful, ozone-depleting chemicals from the textile printing industry. Their inks are water based, certified vegan (do not contain animal derivatives and have not been tested on animals), plant based with non-GMO certification, and have been granted approval by the Soil Association in the UK due to meeting the Global Organic Textiles (GOTS) requirements. Permaset inks also carry the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification, making them safe to be used on underwear, swimwear, and baby clothes - a certification that chemical based Plastisol inks do not have.

Are your t-shirts or hoodies available in children's sizes?
Currently, our Waves & Wild Water t-shirts and hoodies have been created for adults.
However, as parents to two children who share our love of wild swimming and sea dipping, and who love our kit just as much as we do, we are certain children's versions will be added to the website soon...

Can you personalise my hoodie or t-shirt with my name?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of screen printing, personalisation is not possible. The easiest and most cost effective way to apply a single name to a single garment would be heat transferred vinyl - which goes against our environmental practices, and is therefore something we don't offer.
Who creates the designs for your t-shirts and hoodies?
All of our wild swimming and sea dipping inspired designs are original, and are hand-drawn by Co-Founder Claire.
Most designs are born from an experience in the river or sea, or 'pop' into Claire's head during dog walks along the beach - the places where Claire's mind is able to wander without distraction.

Are there any plans to add any other items or designs to your collection?
Our love for wild swimming and sea dipping is growing and evolving all the time, and as a result, there always seems to be a new design or concept on the work bench!

What's your packaging made from?
All of our Waves & Wild Water wild swimming and sea dipping products and gifts are delivered to you in 'Planet Protector' heavyweight paper bags.
Produced by The Paper Bag Co, Planet Protector bags are eco-friendly, FSC certified, and made from 100% recyclable, biodegradable, and sustainable paper.
Using the latest technology, The Paper Bag Co has developed an environmentally friendly coating that repels water without the use of plastics - ensuring your goodies stay dry and protected, whilst doing our bit to protect the planet.

What is Waves & Wild Water doing to help the environment?
EVERYTHING on our website has been sourced and produced with the environment in mind.
Our t-shirts, beanies, bags, and towels are produced using 100% organic cotton, and our hoodies are created from a mixture of organic cotton and recycled polyester.
We only use water based inks during our printing process, and our print table is manually operated by hand - there are no electrical components involved, off-setting our electric heat-press.
Our packaging is paper and we run our business digitally wherever we can, avoiding unnecessary paper waste.
However, for us at Waves & Wild Water, environmental practices are more than just using recycled products and avoiding chemicals. We are active wild swimmers and sea dippers and work hard within our community and within the wild swimming family to keep the oceans pollution free. We are members of Surfers Against Sewage and the Bluetits, and join forces with both groups to participate in regular beach cleans.
